We are nearly ready to provide the new Preview on Kubernetes!
The way this will work, is that on the Project Settings Page you will be able to choose which Preview you want to use (this option will appear below the option for Legacy features in Project Configuration panel - so, until you see it, it is not yet available).
For projects still running on staging.wem.io and live.wem.io (the non-Kubernetes runtimes without the latest features) you should choose the legacy preview - this will be selected as default.
For projects being developed for Kubernetes Runtimes using new features, you can choose the new Kubernetes Preview - which is still beta so it may have some issues along the way.
This choice needs to be made per user per project per (Modeler) session, and then the usual Preview Buttons and context-menu links will start the selected Preview.
The Kubernetes Preview is still in beta so issues may arise, and we’d appreciate to receive support tickets for any issues encountered so we can investigate and improve based on your experiences and situations that we have not yet encountered ourselves.
Please keep in mind that:
- Beta, so issues may arise – support tickets are welcome.
- Preview runs on latest Runtime Version which will be kept in sync with the WEM Shared WestEurope runtimes, but other (reserved/dedicated/private) Runtimes may have a version that is not the same, so some features may work in Preview but not or perhaps differently when published to a Runtime with a different version.
- Some advanced features like Scheduled Tasks and AI Agents will not be available - you should use Staging for that.
- The Kubernetes Preview will start with a new and empty database - there is no migration possible for any old existing preview-data.
More news and details will come...
